Airy, spacious Southside flat for short-term let

We’re out of town for 3 months, July till September, and looking for someone to take over our lovely ground-floor flat in Pollokshields. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom – we’re happy to rent it as a one-bed (£1250 pm) or two-bed (£1500 pm), meaning it could suit a single professional, couple with / without a child, or two friends looking for a temporary base.

The flat is a typical tenement, large rooms, big windows and high ceilings. The sitting room is comfy with two huge sofas and a tv. The kitchen has a proper table with benches, will stay fully-equipped with pots, pans and crockery, and has a big fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and food processor. Though our building has a shared garden at the back, we also have our own little space at the front which gets the sun in the mornings.

Pollokshields is great – not far from the city but quiet, with nice shops and all of the Southside’s bars / cafes / restaurants nearby. It’s also close to Queens Park, Maxwell Park, and Pollok Country Park. Our nearest train station is 3 mins walk away and will get you to Glasgow Central in 5 mins.

Bills are covered in the prices quoted above, and include gas, electricity, water, council tax, super-fast wifi, tv licence. There’s a washing machine in the bathroom cupboard with hanging clothes airer in the hall. Parking is onstreet and free.

We're looking for some friendly and reliable folk to enjoy the place while we’re gone. Ideally we’d give it over for the full 3 months, but there’s some flexibility for the right tenants (e. g. slightly shorter stays, potential for us to vacate in late June and/or arrive back in October). NB. You’ll see some unfinished painting / woodwork in photos, these will be taken care of before we leave,.
