Room for Rent on Nithsdale Road

The room is available from August 1st, 2026. A current housemate will show you the room as I am traveling for work. I cannot accommodate couples due to Scottish rental rules. All bills (Internet, utilities, etc) are included, but gas and electric are capped.

The room for rent is on the upper floor. Stair access only, so not suitable if you have mobility issues. There is a bathroom on each floor, so one is almost always available. The larger room, still available, is pictured. Bedding is provided and the house has most things you'd need. Not pictured is a spare room that is set up as a reading and relaxation room. Can be used for an occasional guest upon agreement.

You will share this big apartment with one other lodger most of the time. I'll be around for short stretches throughout the year, but I work abroad most of the time. My girlfriend will occasionally pass through. We have a group chat so everyone knows what's going on.

None of us smoke and no smoking or drug use of any kind is allowed in the flat; there are no pets.

This room is in a recently renovated B-listed flat in the Pollockshields/Strathbungo area of Glasgow. There are a handful of things still ongoing, but works should be done by the time you move in. The room and bathroom will be cleaned right before you move in.

You will have access to the common spaces including the eat-in dining room and the living room. You can use the back garden if you want to. The place is set up for graduate students or professionals, with a lockable door and a desk in the room. There is a washing and drying machine, but you can air dry clothes with the hoist if you prefer. There is a fridge freezer and a dishwasher in the kitchen. There is a pantry, so space for you to store your own food. The kitchen is equipped so you don't need anything.

The close is lovely with great neighbors.

The flat is walking distance to several grocery stores (Lidl, Morrison's, Sainsburies, Strawberry Gardens), parks (Queens, Maxwell, Pollock), and transportation links (Pollockshields West and East trains stations) and busses (Stagecoach 4, First 38, 57, 3, 90, McGill 3, N4).
