Room available in southside tenement flat

Looking to rent out my spare room on a short or mid-term basis, happy to be flexible with duration. It’s a decent sized room with a single bed (that pulls out into a double for when you have partners/guests visiting), hanging rail, desk, bookshelves and drawer space.

There is an open plan kitchen and living room as well as a shared bathroom with a bath and shower.

Looking for £420 a month, including all bills. And would consider weekly options for someone who is between things and needing a bit of flexibility on how long they need the room for.

Location-wise, the flat is ideally located at the bottom of Victoria and Pollokshaws Road. A 15 minutes walk up to Queen’s Park/shawlands or a 20 minutes walk into Glasgow city centre. It’s 5 minutes from Polloksheilds East train station and 10 minutes from Bridge street subway. It’s also right next to the star bar where you can catch every bus route you could possibly want. There is bike storage on the street and free parking as well.

I am office-based Monday-Friday and spend a lot of weekends in Edinburgh with my girlfriend so you would have the flat to yourself a lot of the time.

I do have two small and very friendly dogs who stay with me as well. I would consider a flatmate who has a dog as long as we could introduce them and check they all get along before agreeing to anything. Unfortunately I don’t think my Jack Russell would appreciate a cat or rodent moving in so dogs or no pets only.

My ideal flatmate would be someone who fancies grabbing the occasional pint or coffee together, likes dogs and enjoys keeping a tidy flat. I’m equally as happy to chat the night away or keep myself to myself. I enjoy hosting the occasional dinner party which you would be welcome to join as well.
