This ad is for a Double Bedroom on a Two Bedroom flat but with no roommates, just house plants. Yes, this means you are having the rest of the flat just for yourself!

Let me explain:
Me and my family are going away to Portugal until August next year so we decided to let one of the two double bedrooms on our flat in Glasgow from the 15th December.
We are keeping all of our belongings in one room and we are not planning to come back until the 15th July. I remain the admin but you are technically having the whole flat for yourself.

Location:
The flat is located in Ibrox, 15 min to the city center either by bus or by subway. Walking distance to the climbing center, library, medical center. M8 and M74 are not far away but not so close which makes the flat very quiet and calm. The flat is on the 3rd floor of a traditional red stone tenement building. A part from Ranger’s match days, there is always plenty of free parking space right in front the building door.

Living Room:
South-facing with plenty of natural light throughout the day. Includes a 3 seater sofa, video projector, hammock, table and chairs.

Bedroom:
During summer the sunrise and sunset light enters through the bedroom. It includes a double bed with desk and chair. Build-in wardrobe with plenty of storage space. Bedding will be provided.

Laundry Space:
Fully furnished and equipped with a wash machine, drying machine and drying rack.

Kitchen:
Fully renovated 2 months ago and it includes brand new appliances still under warranty like integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven with air fryer function, microwave, induction hob and also all the kitchen ware like pans and pots, cutlery etc.. ready to use.

Bathroom:
3 piece bathroom fully functional and spacious. I would leave clean towels and pair of floor mats.

Floor is a traditional victorian pine boards and there are loads of house plants around the flat which makes it very warm and welcoming.

Green areas around:
The backyard is a a common space shared with everyone in the building and its grass is cut every fortnight from April to October. It’s a very good place to chill and socialise during spring and summer months.

The same happens with the Ibrox Community Garden who sits just beside our backyard. This one has always something going on every Wednesday afternoon: yoga, pilates, reiki, gardening, veggie harvest, community meals, you name it.

The Bellahouston Park is also walking distance, great for jogging, picnics and it host many activities and events across the whole year: Like music festivals, the Glasgow Sky and Snowboard center, Gym with swimming pool and many others.
Rent and bills:
Rent is a flat value for both singles and couples: 900£/month and it includes the council tax (tax band B which is 150£/month) and fast fibre broadband (which cost 30£/month). Electricity and Gas are not included (this will depend on your consumption). You will able to track this on the smart meter. The boiler is a combi that works with gas and electricity so you can have hot water and central heating through the winter months (temperatures and running schedule can be set on the dedicated app or directly on the thermostat).

A lodger contract will be provided to guarantee both parties are happy.

A month of deposit and references will be required.

A plus if you are experienced with house plants and want to stay the full 7 months.

We would prefer doing viewings on the first 2 weeks of November. But we are a bit flexible on those dates.
