Double Room- Garnethill Flat

Im looking to fill a double room in a big Garnethill flat as my flatmate will be moving out in August, move in date would be around 13th.

Looking for someone who is LGBT friendly and accepting of others. I would like to keep it as a chill place, so no parties etc. Sometimes have friends over but never super late and will let you know. Otherwise i also like to take time to myself and recharge in my own company and happy to leave others to do so also! It’s a very quiet and peaceful flat which is really nice.

Having dinner together and watching something or popping out for a coffee or walk here and there would be nice but never expected of you, I enjoy a kitchen chat as we do our own cooking/dishes and its always casual. I sometimes work from home and my current flatmate does hybrid but enjoys working in her room as it gets more sunlight through the day.

I am involved in social justice and activism and would like my flatmate to be aligned with this, you dont have to be involved but understanding and cool.

I have a wee black cat, shes very gentle and loves being around the company of others. She would often settle on my flatmates lap as she worked from home or snoozed on her bed/window nook. I would love our new flatmate to be someone who loves cats and is understanding of their lifestyles, shes not loud by any means but she is a cat and has her moments! She is a communicative girl and has come to love my flatmate so much so we naturally ended up sharing the responsibility of feeding her, playing with her and brushing her (she loves to be brushed!) and it would be nice to continue this. You can keep your door closed through the night, and i take on the litter box and buying things, You wont be expected to share financial obligations, i deal with vet/food/maintenance costs for her!:)

Must be tidy and happy to look after the place together and share the responsibility of maintaining it. My flatmate and I have fallen into an organic pattern of picking up for each other where we can and it would be really nice to have this with the new flatmate. Im vegan and muslim so no theres never alcohol or meat in the flat. No smoking or vaping or drugs in the flat.

Utilities for gas and electric are top up and we’ve gotten into a good routine of topping up as needed/monthly. Estimate bills will be around 100-150£ each (inc council tax and wifi). Council tax band B. Happy for students if they're okay to split cost of council tax.

Can provide more info on request. Unsure if the agency will increase the rent during the tenancy change, i dont see it being increased to more than 550£ (fingers crossed), but best mentioning now! You’d have to undergo their referencing and have a guarantor if you dont meet their salary requirements.

As well as being super close to GSA, RCS is just down the road. Its 2-3 mins to Cowcaddens subway station which is very well linked to west end, GFT is a stones throw away and Sauchiehall street is perfectly located. Very quiet neighbourhood and we have a gorgeous small park near.

-Flat is up a few floors of stairs. There is also a small step up onto small shower cubicle.
