I’ve been living in Unite Students accommodation for nearly three years as an international PhD student, but I’m heading back home in December and need someone to take over my tenancy.
Rooms on higher floors are currently advertised by Unite Students for £120 per week. The tenancy transfer will be handled directly by the Unite Students team once we have agreed on the arrangement, ensuring that everything is done properly and legitimately. I’ll also offer £250 towards your expenses as part of the transfer.
The Unite Students team will thoroughly clean the room before the transfer, leaving it in the same condition as a newly prepared room. The tenancy runs until 3 September 2027.
The Room
A spacious room on the sixth floor, offering a quiet living environment away from outside noise and busy streets. It is continuously ventilated and comes with a private en-suite bathroom.
The Flat
You’ll be sharing with three other flatmates, all of whom are postgraduate students. Two rarely use the kitchen, while the third only comes back to the flat about once a week, mainly to sleep. As a result, you’ll have plenty of space and flexibility to use the kitchen.
What’s Included
- The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, microwave, electric oven, electric hob, toaster, kettle and hoover.
- All bills are included in the rent, including Wi-Fi and electricity, so there are no additional utility costs to worry about.
Location
- The accommodation is just behind Aldi on High Street, directly across the road from the University of Strathclyde. With Aldi so close by, you can save money on your weekly shopping.
- There is 24/7 on-site staff, and maintenance requests submitted through the app are generally dealt with within a day.
Other Details
- Available to postgraduate students at any university.
- No council tax to pay.
- Tenancy ends on 3 September 2027.
- £250 contribution towards your expenses.
It’s genuinely a comfortable and secure place to live as a student, and I’ve enjoyed living here. You can check the Unite Students website for full details about the building.
[Cheaper rooms advertised online are often on the ground floor, facing either the road or external circulation routes, with less privacy and significantly more noise.]
Serious enquiries only, please!
