I own a flat next to Kelvinbridge Subway.
I work a few hours away and only stay in the flat when I visit Glasgow (one weekend per month at most, with a heads up). My own room will be closed and is not available for renting. 95% of the time you will have the entire flat to yourself. It is fully decorated and furnished, and I also provide the following to lodgers:
Crockery, pans, basic cleaning products, white appliances, and bedding.
AVAILABILITY:
15 June 2026 onwards- this is the earliest availability (due to current lodger's move out date).
Minimum period 1 month, no max
Viewings- contact to arrange. Virtual viewings/sending photos and videos can be sorted out if needed.
GENERAL PREFERENCES:
1. Older students or professionals.
2. Females.
3. I would consider renting the room to a couple, for an increased rent, can negotiate)
4. Open to renting to any religion/language/LGBTQ+... Anyone is welcome as long as they respect my property.
5. Non-smoking.
6. I will consider pets.
BILLING INFO:
1. The tax band is D, with a single person's discount this is ~ £145 p/m. Students are exempt but need to apply through council.
2. Parking is available off the main street, but you need to apply for a resident's permit (~£90 per year) through the council.
3. I cover the standing charges for energy, meaning lodgers only pay for actual usage. This is approx £30-40 per month.
4. Wifi is £36 with Virgin, but you are welcome to source your own deal if you wish.
FLAT/ROOM DESCRIPTION:
I fitted a brand new kitchen & bathroom last year, and the entire flat is newly painted & panelled. The kitchen already has some crockery and utensils that you are welcome to use. The washing machine and tumble dryer are new.
There are several fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and extinguishers throughout. I also placed extra locks on the front door to make the flat feel very secure :)
You are welcome to move your bedroom furniture around/ change the decor as long as no changes are permanent or cause damage- It's important to me that you feel at home!
LOCATION:
The flat is 1st floor, above lots of nice cafes and restaurants within a 5 min walk. The nearest Tescos and Co Op are less than 500m away. It is just under 10 minutes walk to University of Glasgow, depending on if you walk through Kelvingrove Park.
Kelvinbridge Subway is only 40m away, which is extremely convenient.
