A light, decently sized double room is available in a cute and cosy vegan/vegetarian flat perfectly positioned between the West End and the City Centre!
While the room is available now, I’m more interested in finding the right person than filling the room immediately, so the move-in date is flexible/negotiable for the right fit!
Ideal flatmate: Age and gender aren't so important to me, it's more important that we have cross-over in values and the type of home environment we're after! The flat is LGBTQIA+ friendly and I'd be looking to live with someone conscientious and respectful who is vegan/plant-based or vegetarian. I work some of the time from home (I'm a psychotherapist), so the flat is often calm and quiet and I'd need some who understands the need for privacy while I'm in meetings (I work from my room so it shouldn't be an issue, but still seemed worth mentioning). I'd be hoping to find someone looking for a warm household dynamic. I imagine we’ll very much have our own independent routines and down time is important, but it would be lovely to catch up over cups of tea or the odd meal. I'd love us to be a welcoming flat where friends are over for dinner/a movie/a board game/whatever on occasion but I'm not up for a party house! My interests are broad but arts/culture/music/people are usually pretty central. I'm really new to Glasgow and feel like it has loads to offer in this regard so I'm trying to get in amongst!
Your Room: A bright, well-sized double room with a spacious built-in wardrobe. The room is furnished as seen in the pictures with a set of drawers, a double bed, and a side table etc. You'll need your own mattress but the room is otherwise good to go!
The Shared Spaces: The rest of the house is cute and cosy with all the things you'd expect! There's a bath in the bathroom, a hallway, a combined dining and living area, and a nice kitchen. I love to bake and cook so the kitchen is well equipped and has gas hobs, your own fridge, a sparkling water maker, and a great spice collection etc etc!
Location: I love the location as it feels like everything you could need is nearby! It's less than a minute to Lidl and some excellent local grocers. It's a 10 minute walk to Kelvinbridge subway and 7 minutes to St George's cross. The area has multiple community centres, a library, a pool, a tool library... It's great! The city centre and the West End are both very accessible from here.
Rent: £522.50 per month
Council Tax: Band C (comes out to £87.35 per month each)
WiFi: £9 per month per person (increases by £2 each every April).
Gas & Electricity: Split equally 50/50. (I haven't lived here long enough to give an exact monthly average yet, but it'll be standard).
The flat is managed through a letting agency so you'll need to go through their standard vetting and referencing process to be officially added to the tenancy agreement before moving in.
If this sounds like a place you could call home, let's arrange a viewing! I'd love to know a bit about you and what you'd be hoping for in your home environment.
