Room to Rent in a Sociable Archway House

For better or worse, I've been offered a job overseas, so sadly I'm having to leave the boys and our house in Archway.

The house is a four-bedroom property just a few minutes' walk from Archway Station, with Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury's all within easy walking distance. It's also only a couple of minutes from the recently re-opened Mother Redcap, which has quickly become our local.

The available room is a good-sized double upstairs. It comes with a double bed, chest of drawers, bedside table and TV stand, although we're happy to be flexible if you'd prefer some of the furniture removed.

The house also has a lovely garden which we've recently cleared up, making it perfect for BBQs, drinks and relaxing in the summer.

You'll be living with three friendly professionals: a teacher, a graphic designer and someone working in finance. While the bedroom itself isn't really set up for working from home, there's a dining table in the living room that's ideal for it. As most of the house is in the office during the week, it's generally a quiet place to work.

We're a sociable house and all get on really well. We often head to the pub together or have a few drinks in the garden, but everyone also has their own lives and respects each other's space. We'd ideally be looking for someone who'd enjoy being part of the house rather than just renting a room.

You'd be taking over my tenancy until 15 September, at which point a new tenancy will be issued. The current plan is for the remaining housemates to stay on, so there should be the opportunity to continue beyond September if you'd like. The estate agent has mentioned there may be a rent review when the new tenancy starts, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

You'll need to pass the usual referencing checks through the letting agent.
