Hey there! We’re looking for a new housemate for our attic room in a townhouse just a short walk from Arsenal tube. Available from 3rd of October.
Bills: around £130 pcm (covers everything: council tax, gas, electricity, water, broadband, tv license and a fortnightly cleaner)
---
The room
Cosy attic double at the top of the house – quiet, private and full of light. Perfect if you want your own calm space. Some details:
. New windows and a roof that was replaced 2 years ago
. The ceiling slopes and is lower around the edges; if you're tall, it’s worth checking the headroom in person
. Option to buy the double bed frame and mattress from the current housemate (can discuss price/arrangement separately)
---
The house
We live in a roomy townhouse with plenty of space to spread out:
. Big living room for chilling or watching films
. Large kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer and washing machine
. Two full bathrooms plus an extra toilet
. A small courtyard at the back; great for fresh air and the occasional bit of sun
---
The flatmates
You’d be living with four professionals in our early 30s working in education, law, architecture and healthcare. We’ve been in the house between three and six years, which says something about how much we like it. We treat the place as home and take care of it.
During the week we’re mostly out at work, exercising or doing our own thing. When we’re all around, we might share a drink, cook or eat together.
We all value our own space and quiet time, but it’s also nice to live with people you’re happy to bump into and have a proper chat with. No pressure to be super social – just a normal, friendly house vibe.
---
Our new housemate
We’re after someone who’ll feel like a natural fit in the house: a friendly, considerate person who wants a comfortable, long-term home.
Small things make a big difference when sharing and we all love to come to a clean and calm space. In practice, “good house etiquette” for us looks like:
. Closing doors gently (no slamming, especially late at night)
. Leaving shared spaces tidy after use
. Cleaning up spills straight away
. Taking your turn with the bins and recycling
. Happy with a sociable but calm household (not a party house)
If that already sounds like your normal way of living, you’ll probably get on really well here!

If this sounds like it could be a good match, please tell us a bit about yourself when you message, plus any questions.
