Lovely Double Room with Private Bathroom – Highbury / Arsenal £1,300 pcm + bills | Available mid-November

I’m looking for someone to take over my current flatmate’s room, as he’ll be moving out in mid-November.

The 2 bedroom flat is a converted house on Highbury Hill, directly opposite Arsenal Underground station. We occupy the top two floors, and it’s a nice, spacious place to live.

The room is a good-sized furnished double, with a bed, under bed storage, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s also a separate bathroom on the same floor which would be yours to use exclusively.

There’s a large, bright living room, a modern kitchen and a small outdoor terrace/balcony.

The location is brilliant. Arsenal station is directly opposite, Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington are nearby, and there are loads of great pubs, cafés, parks and restaurants within a 5–10 minute walk.

It’s generally a peaceful area, although being close to Emirates Stadium means the streets get busy on match days.

I’m 31, originally from Northern Ireland, and work as an engineer.

I’m pretty active and spend a fair bit of my free time doing CrossFit, cycling, seeing friends and generally getting out and about. I tend to do most of my socialising outside the flat and enjoy having a comfortable, relaxing home to come back to.

I split my working week between home and the office, and I’m absolutely fine with someone else working from home too.

I’m easygoing and sociable, always happy to have a chat, a pint or watch something together, but equally happy for us to do our own thing.

I’m a light sleeper and quite conscious of noise myself, so I make a real effort to be considerate of whoever I’m living with, particularly early in the morning and late at night. I’d really like to find someone who naturally does the same.

I’m not expecting anyone to tiptoe around or avoid normal everyday noise, but being mindful of heavy footsteps, slamming doors and unnecessary noise when the other person is sleeping is genuinely important to me.

I’d also like to live with someone who’s naturally clean and tidy, and happy to keep the shared spaces in good condition.

I’ve been lucky to have a considerate flatmate, and we’ve had a great living arrangement. I’m hoping to find someone who’ll help keep that same relaxed, respectful atmosphere going.

Ideally, I’m looking for another working professional around my age (late 20s to mid-30s), although having similar living habits more important than age.
