Double in large, friendly house in Balham

Bedroom 2 (upstairs)

I'm looking for two new housemates as the girls are sadly moving out of London. I love having a home not just a house, so looking for people who want to settle and stay long term. [update - one room now filled, looking for one more housemate]

We're a 15 min walk from Balham station (northern line and trains to Clapham Junction/Victoria) and only 5 mins walk to Tooting Common. Balham has a lovely vibe with lots of restaurants, pubs, and a few good size supermarkets


The room & house:

Both rooms are doubles of the same size, one has a built-in wardrobe so a slightly different layout, the downstairs room has a freestanding wardrobe. Both are otherwise unfurnished, but the current tenants are open to leaving/selling furniture.

The house has a spacious living room and lovely garden, so lots of space to hang out together or in your own space. The kitchen has tonnes of storage, dining table, dishwasher, and everything else you'd need.

Rent/Landlords:

The rent is £1000. Bills come to roughly £115 per month including fast Wi-Fi and metered utilities. We split the rent unevenly as one of us has the larger room and uses the box room as an office / storage space so pays more

The landlords are a wonderful couple who live nearby in Brixton. We rent with them through OpenRent so have a good, direct, relationship with them - they have been great with the few small issues and have recently upgraded the garden space

About me:

I'm 38 and work (hybrid) in Tech. A typical week for me is in the office 3 days, I play tag rugby once a week, and otherwise generally chill in the evenings. Weekends I like to get outside of London when I can, or enjoy the local area with friends.

Sneha will also be moving in on 20th (the downstairs bedroom), she is 29 working in Law at Imperial Uni - also hybrid. Sneha will be bringing her two cats (3 year old siblings), so being cat-friendly is a must!
