Double Room in friendly Balham house share

Hi! We’re Lotte, Jonny and Rachel, and we’re looking for a new housemate to join us in our Balham flat. Sadly, our current flatmate is leaving us to move to Australia, so the room will be free from 2nd September.

A bit about us:

Lotte is 27 and works in PR. She loves exploring London on her weekends, from coffee shops to bookshops and occasionally going hiking on train trips out of the city. She loves a gin and tonic and baking occasionally.

Jonny is 29 and works in Insurance. He loves football and all things sport & fitness so he’ll always be down for a run or gym sesh. He likes to go for drinks and exploring new bars and pubs, so hopefully you’ll have some recommendations!

Rachel is 28, from Scotland and works in psychology. She enjoys going out at the weekend, finding new places to eat and get some drinks with friends. Also loves theatre trips and is trying to do some more travelling when not visiting home.

We’re looking for a male housemate to keep the gender split in the flat, ideally someone in their mid to late 20s. We like to hang out as a flat and often spend time with the flat above us too, but we also have our own social circles. Unfortunately, we can’t accept couples.

About the room

The room is on the ground floor, next to one other bedroom. It comes with a double bed, bedside table and wardrobe space. It’s spacious with plenty of room for a desk or additional storage. You’ll be sharing the downstairs bathroom with Rachel, and the flat has lots of shared storage space.

About the house

We have an open‑plan living room and kitchen area, plus a patio garden that’s a lovely spot for a BBQ in the summer. The kitchen has a combined washer/dryer and a dishwasher. We like to keep shared spaces tidy and clean, so we’re looking for someone who respects that and pulls their weight around the house.

Rent & bills

• Rent is £900 per month, paid on the 17th
• Bills around £125/month
• Deposit is £830 + £50 admin name change fee
