Double room available in a lovely 3-bedroom house in Balham – just a 4 minute walk from Balham Station.

£1083 month, excluding bills.

We’re looking for a new housemate to join our 3-bed home, as our current housemate is sadly leaving to go travelling. We’re Claudia and Molly, mid-late twenties and we’ve lived in the house for nearly three years and absolutely love it, so we’re hoping to find someone who will enjoy it as much as we do!

Bills (gas & electric, water, council tax and wifi) are not included and come to around £110 a month. Licensed house. Deposit protection scheme used. The landlords are responsive and support us with anything we or the house needs in quick timescales.

About us

We’re both civil servants and work full-time, with a couple of days working from home each week. We’re both sociable and love going to the pub, seeing friends and exploring London, but are equally happy having a cosy night in watching reality TV.

Bedroom: large, bright double bedroom, double glazed windows, blinds, shelves

Kitchen: fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, toaster, oven/ hob, large table for hosting meals

Bathroom: shower, sink, toilet, large cupboard

The house has a separate kitchen and living room, one bathroom and a private garden. The room comes furnished with a bed and wardrobe, and our landlord has always been really responsive and helpful.

Location

The house itself is located perfectly in the heart of Balham, with bus stops at the end of the street. Balham Station is around a 4-minute walk away, with plenty of great brunch spots, shops and pubs on our doorstep. We’re also around a 5-minute walk from both Sainsbury’s and Aldi, and Wandsworth Common is less than 10 minutes away.

We’re ideally looking for a professional female around 25–30 who is relaxed, sociable and tidy. Ideally someone earning £35k+, subject to the landlord’s referencing requirements.
