A warm, friendly and intelligent older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She has some daytime support but would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some additional company in the Sharer’s free time, plus some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four fresh and healthy meals each week, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished single bedroom, shared use of a small ‘book room’, kitchen, living area and terrace, and a bathroom that is primarily for the Sharer’s use (apart from visitors using the loo).

The property is conveniently located in The Barbican, just 5 minutes’ walk from Barbican Station (Circle Line), 10 minutes’ walk from Faringdon Station (Circle and Elizabeth Lines), and 12 minutes’ walk from old Street Station (Northern Line and National Rail).

A retired book publisher, the lady likes to keep up with current affairs, enjoys intelligent conversation, has an interest in art and architecture, enjoys going to the cinema and watching documentaries, exhibitions, and appreciates a wide variety of fresh, nutritious food (not spicy).

She is supported with a cleaner, regular admin support, her close family and she has regular visits from friends too.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a friendly, kind, bright, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
