Double room in Highbury & Islington

Double room in refurbished three bedroom, two bathroom maisonette.

Rent includes all bills, broadband and a cleaner. Kitchen includes the usual: dishwasher, washing machine (no dryer), large separate fridge and freezer, induction hob, Instant Pot, no microwave. The flat is double-glazed and warm. There's Netflix, Now and Prime on the UHD TV.
The downstairs bathroom has a shower, the upstairs one has a both a shower and a bath. The third smaller bedroom (not pictured) became a WFH space and grocery hoarding facility during lockdown.

I work as a freelance journalist. Sometimes I’m working in an office, other times from home.

I’m an omnivore and enjoy cooking, mostly Italian, French.

I'm into cycling and often on long bike rides at the weekend. Aside from that I'm into the usual: cinema, markets, gym, theatre, galleries, running and so on.

There’s a few kettlebells and a Kickr in the house which you’re welcome to use.

I've preferred sharing with women in the past (don’t want to be some bloke’s mum) but open to a change.


Not looking for a housemate who will stay in their room – up for cooking and sharing some wine.

The room/flat is furnished but there isn't much storage so it would suit someone without big furniture.
There's small backyard/garden which is great for bit of al fresco eating and drinking in the warmer/lighter months. I grow salad in the summer and there are pots of rosemary, thyme, bay etc for cooking.
The location is very close to Highbury & Islington station for the tube and overground, plus buses from Upper Street.
