2 Double En-suites in VEGAN Houseshare

Hi everyone and welcome to the listing for our beautiful vegan home by Battersea Park / Albert Bridge.

I generally only take on 6 month contracts but am starting to take on shorter contracts now too so I am leaving this add up to keep a roster / schedule of kind folk who need a place in a kind home. Some of the rooms may be occupied therefore but I’m listing them incase you want to pitch a stay. Sometimes people swap rooms if the timing of their stay fits better that way too.

The house has a shared sitting room full of art, a main hall space which is good for yoga, day meeting work-space or parties / dining, a kitchen living area and Buddha Garden outside. We have a couple of open gas fires, great art and a good design for the number of people in the house. There is also a shared utility room in the basement and we have all the latest mod. cons.

The location is in a little oasis right off Park Gate Road by Battersea Park & Albert Bridge and is a 20-25 minute walk to South Kensington, Sloan Square or Battersea Power Station tube stations.

The newly painted and refurnished ‘Top Floor Appartment’, double en-suite, has a brand new private bathroom with shower and bathtub, lots of light and great views out the skylights. It is very bright with views westward over the rooftops. It has two built in double wardrobes, two chests of draws, wall shelves and working area with lots of space for two. There is also storage shelves under the new double storage bed that lifts up. The bathroom has just been redecorated and the walls & celings all repainted £1333.

The Tibet Room is another double en-suite on the third floor with a little balcony overlooking the garden. It's called the Tibet room because it has a panorama of the Hymalayas on the one side of the room and other art and furnishings either from ancient India or inspired by the same. It has a very nice bathroom with a newly renovated wooden floor, jacuuzi bath and a newly installed shower. For storage, there is a built in room height cupbard with hanging rails, and shelves, room height buit in shelves on one portion of the right wall, two chests of draws and storage under the bed. There is a dedicatde desk and chair by the window with good internet coverage. The bed and backboard are new and the room amd bathroom was repainted in September 2023. £1222 pcm

The Double Ensuite 'Garden Room' overlooks our little Buddha Garden on the first floor. The double bed and authopedic mattress are brand new, the bathroom has a stone and glass shower, stone floors, loo and sink / mirror by the bathroom window. There are two full height cupboards and a built in wall of shelves plus a dedicated working area by the window overlooking the garden. I have had couples on 12 month stays who were very happy. £1111pcm

(+10% for couples).

The costs of running the house include: super-fast broadband, amazing central heating, coulcil rates, electricity, insurance, our lovely housekeeper who comes twice a week to clean sheets & bathrooms, hoovering & help with the rest of the house cleaning and insuring the place. The three rooms share 75% of the bills (their share) or 25% each. The costs when no one gives a damn are about £260 each month but I share the costs to make sure people do not waste the heating and electricity grossly. These can be much lower when we are mindful.

Housemates:

Daleesha is working in the city but is big into scuba, Veganism, animals and is a qualified yoga teacher very into making food and making the place fun and homely!

Charles is mostly in the south at the moment turning a property with a yoga studio overlooking the sea that his grandfather designed in the 50s into a 20 person retreat centre and hosts regular healthy events down there. He is also working with some swish architects on ecological developments, Ecosystem restoration camps (create. green), all about serving Mother Nature. Into kitesurfing, wingfoiling, skiing, Squash, Tennis, Yoga Med, music.

Willy and Bryony spend half their time in London and Half their time at their place by the sea near Edinburgh. They are super fit thiathlon competitors and they work as lawyers looking after the online information of kids for big video-games companies.

We hope to find young professionals who are convinced of the health / environmental / ethical benefits of a plant based diet and will enjoy being supported in maintaining that ethic. Maybe even you want to come organise dance, music, healing, healthy evenings / weekends or retreats down at Delta on the sea too.
