Hello! After 5 years living together, my wonderful housemates are moving in with their partners - and so 2 double rooms will become available in our Bermondsey house at the end of April. Our current contract runs until November with the possibility to extend. **The property**
The house is only a few minutes walk from Bermondsey tube station and bus stops. It is also on a pedestrian-only street, and our neighbours are friendly and respectful - so is very quiet! The property is managed by an agency who are super responsive and helpful.
It is a pretty spacious terraced house - there are 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, separate living room, a full bathroom (with bath), and a separate toilet. The kitchen was fully renovated in October, and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, new oven and hob, large fridge, microwave, and generous cupboard space. We also have patios at the front and back of the house (with BBQ, shed, and space for bike storage).
My current housemates will be taking some of their furniture with them when they move out (sofa, desks, TV, shoe rack, chest of drawers) - so we may need to replace this / if you do already own some furniture that you can bring then that is a bonus!
**The rooms available**
1. A large double bedroom with plenty of built-in storage (£887 per month)
2. A smaller double bedroom, which comfortably fits a double bed, large built-in wardrobe, and includes an ottoman bed for extra storage (£726 per month)
Currently neither of these rooms are set up with a desk - but both of my current housemates WFH in our living room which works well for us (I’m happy to continue this arrangement if needed).
Gas is included in the rent (so no need to worry about putting the heating on!), and our council tax (band D), electricity, water and internet usually comes to an additional £120-ish per month.
**The current housemate**
You’ll be sharing the house with a 30 year old female tenant (that’s me, Hannah!). I work in market research and am usually in the office 1 day a week, but I primarily work from home from the desk in my bedroom. I’m easy-going and friendly, and in my spare time I love to see friends, check out new restaurants, and I sing in a choir.
**About you**
I’m ideally looking for 2 professionals in their mid-20s to late-30s. Whilst this isn’t a party house I do love to host and will sometimes have guests over for BBQs, dinner, game nights etc - and would be very happy for you to do the same! The sofa also converts into a bed which is ideal for guests who need to stay overnight.
We currently split the cleaning between doing this ourselves / we also have a cleaner - but happy to discuss what works best as long as the house is clean and tidy!
