Friendly house with garden in Bethnal Green

A garden-facing bedroom in our 3-bed houseshare will be available from 1 September. Viewing dates are planned for 22 and 23 June between 7-9pm.

The house has a sun-soaked and well-equipped kitchen, a big living room with space for bikes and an office desk, and a garden with a lively population of robins and other birds.

As for the room, it's light and spacious, and comes with a new bed, a wardrobe, a cabinet, bookshelf on wheels and small desk shelf. Every piece of furniture can be changed, as the house is rented unfurnished. I bought the bed frame recently (in use since Feb 2026) and the mattress second-hand (in use since Nov 2023). I would ask £180-200 for both. The windows are double glazed.

Expect a homely place with breakfast outside and chats over dinner. We try to keep things running smoothly with monthly check-ins, and a cleaner comes every two weeks to help with the shared spaces. There is regularly a small bit of maintenance to handle in the garden or the house.

You'd be living with Yuki (34) and Matilda (30). Yuki is an architect originally from Japan who loves running, having just finished her first marathon. Matilda, Australian, a producer for a creative agency has just moved in. Outside of work she’s into movies, art / history, travel and the gym. Both enjoy hiking, too.

Travel connections are excellent, with 5 minutes to Bethnal Green station. The Elizabeth line, District Line and Overground are also in walking distance. Our area is full of charm, with nearby Victoria Park and Regents Canal.

Rent is £850, and bills are ~£150, covering council tax, energy, water, fibre internet, and the cleaner. The landlord is quite hands-off but will repair whatever needs fixing. We might call for a follow-up chat before confirming the room.
