I've been living in this flat since September with my boyfriend, but unfortunately he has to move to another country for work, and I definitely want to stay! The landlord has said it's okay for me to find a flatmate for the second bedroom, and stay on as the lead tenant, so I'm posting on here.
£1125p/cm +bills (around £122 a month, incl council tax, band b).
The flat:
- Good sized living room with lots of natural light throughout!
- Has a kitchen with microwave, oven, kettle, washing machine etc, and I have all kitchen necessities, which you can use, or you can bring your own (no dryer...)
- Separate bathroom and toilet (with bath)
- Fourth floor
- Balcony from living room
- Wood floors throughout
- Quiet
- 8 min walk to Bethnal Green Tube
The room: (Currently being used as our office/ storage but was a bedroom before that - I'll put some more pics on here when I get home)
- Wardrobe and chest of drawers
- Table
- Wardrobe rack (if useful!)
- Double bed + mattress
- Natural light
- Wood floor
Me:
- I've lived in East London for 3 years, and love it - I love to go the theatre, have dinner with friends, go to talks and exhibitions, go to warehouse clubs every now and then
- I love to read, I cook (I'm mostly vegan, but I do eat some fish), I like getting in creative pursuits around my job . I'm a policy advisor on EU stuff in the civil service - I'm into British politics, and EU politics
- I work from home twice a week
- Totally happy to completely shar ethe space, you have people for dinner etc - as long as you are happy to have quiet hours from 11pm-7am during the week!
Who I'm looking for:
Must:
- I'm hoping to find someone where we get on, I'm out and about a lot but it would be nice to make time to have dinner or hang out every few weeks
- must be a professional/ have income because the landlord requires referencing
- Because my boyfriend is moving to Germany, he will come and stay 1-2 times a month, for a few days. I will also be away 1-2 times a month. I want to make sure that you're happy with this as an arrangement. I'll give you the heads up before ofc :)
- Random - but a new flatmate can't sublet their room (if you go on holiday or something). That's from the landlord, but it's my preference too.
- Someone happy to be tidy and clean in the shared spaces
- Someone who wants to stay at least 6 months
- No couples, sorry, because of the contract
- must go through referencing and put down a deposit (landlord request)
Preferred:
- I would prefer a non-smoker because I quit smoking this year haha, but not the end of the world
- someone with a similar work schedule to me would be preferred - just because during the week I need to get to bed by 11, and would like the flat to be quiet by then - but if you're happy with quiet from 11-7 on weeknights then that's totally fine if you don't do a 9-5
If this sounds good to you, can you write to me about:
- you and why you'd like to live here/ why you think we could be a good fit
- confirm you've read this description
- any questions! Happy to answer!
