Double room to rent in Bethnal Green

IMPORTANT: Room is £770 per month. The deposit was split equally between the three of us (£923pp) but we pay rent based on room size.

I am moving at the end of July and looking for someone to take over my room in a three-bed flat. The room is a double room and comes semi-furnished with a double bed and wardrobe. There is plenty of space for you to add a desk or other furniture you have. There is also additional storage space in the flat. And don’t worry! I’ll be painting the walls back to white before I move out.

The flat is on the ground floor but the building is in a gated square with a concierge so it feels very safe - I often come back very late from work and haven’t had any issues. The square is very peaceful. Although there is no garden, people often sit out in the square in nice weather. The flat faces east so we get a lot of sun in the morning but it stays cool in hot weather. The room has a ceiling fan which helps to keep it cool.

The flat is five minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station (Central line) and close to Bethnal Green overground station (Weaver line) and Whitechapel station (District, Hammersmith and City, Elizabeth and Windrush lines). It is 10-15 minutes walk to Victoria Park.

The flat has a shared kitchen and bathroom but there is no living room (which is why the rent is pretty affordable) so we don’t really have a communal space where we would socialise. We get along well as flatmates but mostly keep to ourselves.

You would be sharing with Ellen who is a Pilates teacher and Whitney who works in a bakery. The flat would suit someone who is easygoing and respectful, looking for a calm comfortable home, rather than a party flat. We would prefer someone who doesn’t work from home all the time, but a hybrid would be fine.

Water is included in the rent and then other bills are about £120 per month. You will have to pass referencing/affordability checks from the landlord. The room is available from 1st August.
