Double Room between Blackheath and Lewisham

Hello! I’ve got a double room going in a 2 bed flat. I’m 24 and work in urban logistics/ bicycle stuff. I work mostly Monday to Friday out of the flat. So I’m usually out until the evenings and pottering about in the flat on the weekends, either gardening or out with friends.

I’m looking for someone of a similar age preferably with an at least hybrid working schedule- although the room does come with a desk so occasional work from home is possible! Cleanliness and neatness is key as I like home to be recuperation space. Nothing crazy, just keeping common areas as tidy as possible for the one another.

I’m into all the good stuff: music, cinema, cycling. I say I’m growing my record collection but I play one specific one of repeat. I’ll go out to the occasional gig but it has to be worth it! Most recent was Darkside. I’ve recently decided I like houseplants too so if you’d like to add to the collection, be my guest.

The room has ample storage with built in wardrobes and space for shelving too if you’d like. You’ll get a double divan bed frame too. (That’s the box one.)

There’s one bathroom with a shower only.

To get to the main part of the flat, there is a hallway (shoe area) leading to a flight of stairs so it isn’t wheelchair accessible etc.

Everything but the bathroom and shower is carpeted.

The flat is cozy and tucked away off a high street with Lidl and big Sainsbury’s a 10-15 minute walk either way. The flat is a mews property with creative studios and a great courtyard which we’re free to use for gardening and BBQs etc. Access is by a key and/or app access if you wish! There’s a shed for bike storage and other miscellaneous items.

Besides the bedroom everything else is furnished- kitchen’s fully stocked with silverware, crockery and that sort of thing so no need to bring more. As is the lounge/dining area.

We have an off-license which is open 24/7 (super handy), a nice cafe/bookshop right across the road and great parks surrounding the area- Greenwich park is a 20 minute walk away.

There’s a bus stop right out the front door with buses running pretty frequently towards New Cross and Lewisham Station to reach the DLR or mainline trains. Essentially, you can be in London Bridge, Charing X and Victoria in less than 40 minutes. Hither Green station is also very close.

There are also great pubs nearby - Fox and Firkin, The Hare and Billet, Dacre Arms and, The Old Tigers Head.

The landlord will need to do referencing and affordability checks. The landlord is very nice, however.

I aim to be holding viewings this weekend and possibly mid week, and getting it all over and done with ASAP tbh.
