A light and bright double bedroom with a great bunch of people available from mid-March.

The room itself is on the ground floor facing the back garden. It comes furnished (besides the mirror and storage unit), and there are a couple of wardrobes and chest of drawers in the basement that can be brought up if needed.

The house itself has a big kitchen with a six person dining room table, two bathrooms (2 showers and 1 bath), a spacious living room, a massive cellar for storage, and a big garden with patio furniture and a BBQ. Frequently visited by various neighbourhood cats.

Our house is on a quiet, residential street and is a ten minute walk to Mile End tube station. We're a four minute walk to Roman Road which has a number of good local shops, cafes, restaurants and regular buses. It's a ten minute walk to Victoria Park.

Street parking is available after 6pm weekdays and on Sundays, but you'll have to buy a permit any other time.

Housemates include two girls and a guy, Pete, Becky, and Robyn - two from the UK and one American.

We have been living in the house for 8 years in various iterations of the house. Robyn joined last year and Becky two years ago. It would be great that you can bring your way of being to the household.

We're all from a variety of backgrounds. Everyone has their own schedules and things, but we're often hanging out together in the week, watching tv, sometimes having dinner together, going to gigs, films, exhibitions, the park, the pub etc.

We're looking for someone relaxed, clean, personable and good humoured, on the hunt for a home and potentially a new group of friends.

The nitty gritty:

The rent is £1000 a month. Plus bills which are around £100; council tax, water, gas, electric, broadband, TV, and a cleaner every fortnight who cleans the areas of the house we share. We also buy household supplies out of our bills pot of money which includes loo roll, light bulbs, cleaning supplies etc.

*We've recently had a rent increase, so we're not expecting another during the insane cost of living crisis we're all enjoying. We've got a pretty good landlord, who's keen to keep us in here.

There may also be a small agency fee to change the name on the contract but TBC.
