Lovely double room in three-bed flat in Brixton

Hello!

I’m giving up my lovely bedroom in Brixton, suitable for a female professional. I’ve been in the flat for 8 years now and feel like it’s time for me to explore a different part of London.

The room is in a shared 3-bedroom maisonette and will be available from 1st November. Unfortunately, there is little to no flexibility on the date.

The flat is on the fourth floor of an apartment building with a lift and a shared communal garden (which is regularly maintained), approximately a 10 minute walk from both Brixton Station and Brockwell Park. The flat is at the rear of the building, so it’s a lot quieter than you might think when looking at the location on the map.

There’s a shared living room with a sofa, TV and dining table, a small but practical kitchen and a bathroom. Unfortunately, the flat isn’t suitable for couples or pets.

The room comes with a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers (currently hidden inside the wardrobe) and a small mirror.

The photos are a little old, so the flat and the room look slightly different now but nothing major.

You’ll be sharing with two girls, Claudia and Rachel, in their 30s and 40s. They’re both professionals and both friendly and considerate.

It would be lovely to find someone who has a fairly regular work routine (whether that’s office based, WFH or a mix) and their own life and interests outside the flat, but who also enjoys the occasional social/chilled evening at home with a film or a meal (mostly vegetarian in the flat, but you don’t need to be). And someone who is clean and tidy, and happy to do their part to keep the place comfortable and pleasant for everyone.

Rent is £750/month. Bills are approximately £150/month each (a bit less in the summer), which include council tax, internet, TV licence, water, gas and electricity. Please note that the £865 deposit shown above isn’t correct. The deposit is currently £1,000, although I’m just confirming this.

There are no agents involved.

The landlady is always very helpful and available if anything needs changing or repairing.

We might be a little limited with viewings next week, but should have more flexibility from the week starting 5th October.
