Hello,
I’m sub-letting a comfortable double-room in a modern flat in central Brixton (8-min walk from the Brixton tube.) The flat is at the end of a mews development off a busy road, so it’s quiet.
I'm looking for a minimum period of 3 months. The tenancy agreement is in my name and on a rolling 2-month contract, and I would ask for one calendar month if you wish to give notice.
The flat is super clean and comfy, one shared spacious bathroom and large open plan kitchen/living room.
The room comes fully furnished, double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bookshelf. Bills are approximately £165 each per month on top of rent. It includes, gas, electric, water, council tax (band D), TV license, and broadband. The flat has everything you need so would suit someone who doesn’t have furniture or many household goods to bring. There isn't a huge amount of additional storage which is important to consider.
Security deposit is £850 and is returned to you by me once you have moved out. The full security deposit for the flat is in a deposit protection scheme and managed by the managing agent, so should I move out before you, he would return your deposit.
The environment would best suit a 30+ professional and someone who has a weekly routine and treats the flat as a calm space to come back to at the end of the day - it's not a party flat. I work from home as I work remotely, and also travel often for work. I therefore like to keep things chilled when I'm home, and would expect the same from you. General tidiness, hygiene and mutual respect of the living space is very important to me - so we would need to be a good fit in this regard.
