Spacious Bright Double Bedroom in Brixton

with some reluctance, i’m vacating my double bedroom in a five-bedroom house in brixton at the end of the month (moving in with boyfriend).

the room itself: properly spacious, with a working fireplace and south-facing afternoon light. there’s a large tree outside the window. the shadows it makes on the wall in late afternoon are genuinely worth mentioning. i’ve worked from home here very happily.

the house is warm and lived-in (not a show flat, the good kind of lived-in). we are five women, 23 to 31, working in healthcare, event management, and news regulation. we cook together, watch things, go to the pub. we also know how to leave each other alone, which matters as much as the rest of it. i’ve been very lucky here.

there is a garden. there is a cat policy. there is a fortnightly cleaner included in bills.

practically: quiet residential street, 12 minutes to brixton station on foot, under five to bus connections, close to brockwell park. sainsbury’s is nearby.

rent: £975/month. bills approximately £150 per person. tenancy runs to 2027.
