Large Double Room

A large, bright double room available in our lovely house between Brixton and Herne Hill from mid-September (flexible).

I’ve lived here for the past three years and have genuinely loved it. The house was previously our landlord’s family home and was designed and renovated with a lot of care, so it feels much more like a proper home than your typical London rental.

The house

The house has a great open-plan kitchen/dining area and really nice communal living spaces, plus a brilliant garden which is great in the summer.

Upstairs there’s a large bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower and toilet, plus an additional toilet downstairs.

It’s on a nice, quiet residential road while still being really well connected. Both Brixton and Herne Hill stations are just under a 10-minute walk away, making it very easy to get into central London.

The area

Brockwell Park is only around a 5-minute walk away, and there are loads of great pubs, restaurants, cafés and gyms nearby across both Brixton and Herne Hill.

Sainsbury’s is less than a 10-minute walk away, with smaller local/corner shops even closer.

The housemates

You’ll be living with three guys in their mid-to-late 20s, all working in various professional roles in central London.

The house has a really good balance socially. Everyone is friendly and always up for going for a beer or hanging out, but equally has their own life and is respectful of each other’s space and privacy. It’s sociable without being overwhelming.

We’re ideally looking for another professional in their mid-to-late 20s, who’s friendly, easy-going and would fit naturally into that dynamic. Males preferred,, but unfortunately no couples.

Tenancy

The tenancy is currently on a rolling monthly basis. The landlord would ideally like someone looking to stay for a reasonable period rather than very short term, with a minimum two-month notice period.

Available from mid-September, although there is some flexibility on the exact move-in date.
