Double room in Brixton

Hello!

We’re looking for a new housemate from 1st November to replace our dear Joshua, who is heading off to pastures new.

We’re a household of three professionals, aged 30–32, who all grew up together and are good friends. We’re a pretty sociable house and like to do our own thing, but also enjoy having dinner together, watching TV, having friends over, or heading to the pub for a drink. It’s a friendly home rather than just a place where everyone happens to live, so we’re looking for someone who’d enjoy that sort of atmosphere too. We're too old for hosting afters so if you are chasing the night, please do it elsewhere (sorrryyy).

A little about us:

Hugh, 32 – works in PropTech
Millie, 30 – works in Law
Harrison, 32 – works for the NHS/paramedic service
Sassie, approx. 7–9 – resident cat and undisputed lady of leisure

The house is comfortably lived-in rather than pristine at all times, we keep things clean and tidy, but it’s definitely a home rather than a showroom. We’d love someone who is relaxed about that and happy to do their bit around the house.

And then there’s Sassie. She’s very much part of the household and, naturally, believes the house belongs to her. So being a cat person (or at least cat-friendly!) is fairly important. She’s apparently hypoallergenic to an extent, but if you have significant allergies, it’s probably best not to take the risk.

We’re pretty open-minded about who joins us — the main thing is that you’re friendly, considerate and easy to live with. We’d ideally grab a pint or coffee with prospective housemates beforehand so we can all get a feel for each other and make sure it’s a good fit.
