I'm looking for a great person to come and share my new flat in Brixton 😊
The flat is large, bright and split-level, on a lovely quiet street with pretty much everything you need on the doorstep. Elm Park Tavern is literally across the road, along with a convenience shop and a great little record shop. There's a Tesco Express nearby, a big Sainsbury's about 5 minutes away, Brockwell Park is 5–10 minutes on foot, and Brixton station is around a 15–20 minute walk, with loads of buses nearby too. Easy walking distance to the big Lidl and Tesco as well.
The room is on the second floor, with plenty of space to make it your own. It comes furnished, but there's also room to add your own touches. It's a lovely, light space in a friendly, comfortable flat, and would suit someone looking for somewhere they can properly settle in and make their own.
The room is £1,000 pcm, with bills on top. I'd budget around £200 pcm for bills, although I've only been here a month myself, so this is an estimate while I get to grips with everything. There's fast Wi-Fi, and working from home is absolutely fine as I WFH quite a lot myself.
A little disclaimer: I'm a first-time homeowner and have only just moved in, so I'm still getting the place together. I'm painting, decorating and adding bits as I go, with the aim of making it feel like a cosy home rather than a generic white rental box. It's very much a work in progress, but in a good way and shouldn't be disruptive to you.
A bit about me:
I'm 30, sociable and always up for a pub trip, a night out or a spontaneous plan. I love cooking, dinner parties, a glass of wine and a good kitchen chat. I'm hoping to find someone who wants to actually share the flat and enjoy living together, rather than just passing each other in the hallway.
I do love a night out and occasionally have friends back, so this probably wouldn't suit someone looking for a super-quiet household. Equally, it's a home, not a permanent afterparty, and I'm very respectful of having our own space and routines too.
I'm not fussed whether you're male or female, but ideally looking for someone around 27–33 who's fun, friendly and outgoing, and up for making the flat feel like a home we both enjoy living in.
I'm not really considering pets but I do love dogs so if you're interested drop me a message and I'll have a think haha.
If this sounds like your sort of place, drop me a message and tell me a little bit about yourself! 😊
