Fully Furnished Double Room in Brixton.

Overview

A comfortable, fully furnished double room in a relaxed three-bedroom flat directly opposite Brockwell Park with good transport links.

It’s a spacious, easygoing home shared with just me. I’m looking for someone friendly, independent and considerate who wants somewhere that feels like a home rather than just a room.

The Room

The room comes fully furnished with a chest of drawers, large hanging rail, full-length mirror, bike rack and under-bed storage.

Everything’s ready to move into, so ideally no large furniture such as beds or wardrobes. Smaller personal items are absolutely fine.

The Flat

A spacious, comfortable second-floor flat in an ex-council block. I’ve lived here for almost six years without any issues.

There’s a shared living room with a large sofa, TV, Wi-Fi, Netflix and other streaming subscriptions, plus my DJ setup.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, air fryer, coffee machine and washing machine. There’s also a newly renovated bathroom with a large double shower and a separate toilet.

Although it’s a three-bedroom flat, only two people will live here. The third bedroom is used occasionally for visiting friends and family and drying laundry.

Location & Transport

The location is brilliant, with Brockwell Park literally across the road.

* Brixton: 10-minute walk or 2–3 minutes by bus.
* Herne Hill: 12-minute walk across the park, with Thameslink connections.
* Transport: Bus stop almost outside, with three regular services towards Brixton.
* Shopping: Large Sainsbury’s 4–5 minutes away and Tesco Express 2 minutes away.
* Parking: Available locally, subject to permit arrangements.

Brixton’s restaurants, bars, cafés and nightlife are all nearby, with the park right on your doorstep.

A Bit About Me

I’m 37, work in Marketing, with WFH 3 days a week. I am pretty sociable, relaxed and easygoing. I enjoy a laugh, good conversation, music and occasionally going out for a drink.

DJing is a big passion of mine!! I have decks at home that I use regularly, including a weekly radio show that record from the living room.

I’m considerate about noise and can mix through headphones, so it won’t be a problem. If you’re into music or fancy learning to DJ, even better!

I’m independent and have my own life, but equally enjoy hanging out, watching TV or having dinner together. No pressure to socialise constantly — just a friendly, natural atmosphere.

Who I’m Looking For

Ideally, someone friendly, outgoing, independent and easygoing, with their own interests, friends and routine.

Someone working full-time, preferably outside the home most days, would be a great fit.

I’m not obsessive about everything being immaculate, but cleanliness, communication and consideration are important. Friends and guests are welcome, provided we keep each other in the loop.

Ultimately, I’d love to live with someone I naturally get along with, who enjoys having a laugh and is happy doing their own thing too.

1 year minimum, I would like someone to settle in for the long term. If it’s not working out however I am happy to be flexible on this.
