Quiet friendly midweek bolthole.

MON to FRI Quiet spare room to let. Great location in Victorian terraced house in peaceful garden square. Excellent transport to central London. I am a retired teacher and well-travelled writer. My partner is here some of the time but also spends time away, painting in his countryside studio. A delightful and considerate housemate lives on the top floor with her own bathroom.

There is another room on offer for 3 or 4 nights midweek for a reliable and quiet person who has work (mostly out of the house) in London and would like a friendly, relaxing and safe place to stay overnight. No traffic noise.
Two single beds. A large cupboard for your use, a table/desk and comfortable chair. You would share my bathroom with shower and bath (there's also a downstairs toilet). You'd have the use of the kitchen and garden and washing machine.
Our neighbours living around the square are friendly and cosmopolitan. Oh and we have a gentle friendly dog (stays downstairs).

Beautiful huge Brockwell Park is only ten minutes walk away, where you can walk, run and play tennis and basketball and swim at the Lido /gym.
Just down the Hill is the vibrant and buzzing Brixton Market and Ritzy Cinema and a great variety of places to eat and shop.


Public transport is excellent. Four minutes walk to numerous buses north to Brixton tube and overground train station (4 stops from Victoria Station) or south to Streatham Hill station. Direct routes to Waterloo, Euston, Liverpool Street and Kings Cross mainline stations.
