I'm moving out of this lovely flat to live nearby with my partner, and I'm genuinely very sad to be leaving. Rebecca and I have lived here happily together for the past 3.5 years after meeting at cookery school in Ireland, and it's been a really special home for us. We're hoping to find someone who'll enjoy living here as much as we have and who'll treat it as a home, not just somewhere to stay.
The Flat
• Bright, spacious second-floor flat right on Broadway Market - you couldn't ask for a better Hackney location. You'll have amazing cafés, restaurants, pubs, wine bars and London Fields Lido right on your doorstep.
• Around a 7-minute walk to London Fields station and 10–15 minutes to Haggerston or Bethnal Green stations.
• The available room is the smaller of the two bedrooms. It's peaceful, gets beautiful evening light, and has built-in storage. We'd recommend an ottoman or under-bed storage to make the most of the space.
• The flat has a large living room and a generous kitchen, with plenty of additional storage throughout, so it never feels cramped.
• The bedroom is unfurnished, but the rest of the flat is fully furnished by Rebecca - including, quite possibly, the comfiest sofa in the world!
• Bills are approximately £140 per person, per month.
• The room is available from 1st September 2026, although the move-in date is flexible for the right person.
About Your Future Flatmate
You'll be living with Rebecca, who is 35 and works in mental health tech while completing a Master's in Clinical Psychology. She works from home 3–4 days a week.
She's easy-going, thoughtful and great company. Outside of work, she loves dance, music, tennis, cooking (we actually met at a three-month cookery course!), psychology, and making the most of everything Hackney has to offer. She's equally happy trying a new local restaurant, wine bar or pub as she is having a relaxed evening at home.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is friendly, considerate and looking for a genuine home rather than just a room. Ideally, you'd be a professional aged 30-40ish who enjoys having a chat over dinner or a glass of wine now and then, while also respecting each other's space and independence.
The flat has always been calm, clean and well looked after, so we'd love to find someone who'll contribute to that atmosphere. We're looking for someone who is kind, sociable, and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming home.
We're also really lucky to have a great relationship with our downstairs neighbours. It's a lovely little community, and it's not uncommon to pop downstairs (or have them up!) for a coffee, a drink or a chat. It would suit someone who enjoys that friendly, neighbourly atmosphere.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you and tell you more about the flat!
