Bright room in Camberwell

We have a spacious single room, available from May/June - we are open to suggestions for length of tenancy but would perhaps suit someone new to London looking for a long-term place, or someone in between tenancies trying to fill a gap. Also open to longer tenancies for the right person.

Very important - you need to like animals to live here. We have two cats, both do quite a bit of environmental and animal rights activism, and don't have any animal products in the house. Probably would fit best for a vegan :)

The room is airy, bright and comfortable and part of a large 4 bedroom maisonette with lots of communal space. It is technically a double room, though most people prefer to set it up as a single with a desk (the bed can be pulled out into a double, as you prefer) and contains a clothing rail, shelves, desk and bedside drawers.

Open to offers on length of stay and but it would be £500 a month including everything, all bills, internet, council tax, service charge etc.

Our place is in Camberwell, around 7 mins walk from Denmark Hill and 15 mins walk fro Peckham Rye stations. The maisonette itself is quite big and on two floors so feels like a house! We have 4 bedrooms and there is quite a large kitchen which is nice to cook in, a spacious lounge, and plant-laden terrace out the back. There is a decent amount of storage space. We have two cats so you'd need to be okay with that!

Living in the house currently is Prashasti who is an editor I work in for an animal rights charity. Everyone is friendly and ee have vegan BBQ out the back quite a lot in the summer with local pals and often watch comedy and films together in the front room with a beer. Often go to the pub in Camberwell and Peckham which you'd be very welcome to join in.
