£900 pcm + approximately £180 bills | Available ASAP | Live-in landlord | No couples
Hello! I'm Ollie and I'm looking for someone to live in the second bedroom of my newly-bought, two-bedroom Victorian flat in Camberwell.
THE ROOM
The room is large (fitting a double bed and plenty of furniture) and has direct access to the flat’s private garden through French windows. It comes furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed frame, complete with a mattress, mattress protector, pillows and a duvet.
THE FLAT
The flat is across two levels (basement and ground floor) and has...
Basement floor:
🚲 Outside shed opposite front door with lockable bike storage space
👕 Washing machine
🛌 Two bedrooms
🛁 Bathroom with a bath, shower and loo (immediately next to your bedroom)
🌳 Private garden (lower level)
Ground floor:
🚾 Second, separate loo
🍅 Open-plan kitchen/living room, including fridge, freezer, dishwasher and TV (with subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+ and Hayu included)
🌳 Private garden (upper level)
I've only moved in myself a few weeks ago, so the flat’s still coming together! There are a few things still due to arrive in the kitchen/living room which aren't in the photos - mainly a rug, kitchen table and coffee table - and the garden is due a glow-up as soon as I can get round to it!
THE AREA
The flat is a stone's throw away from Myatt's Field Park, and there are plenty of pubs, cafés and restaurants in nearby Camberwell (10 min walk) and Brixton (20 min walk).
Features of the area include:
🌳 Myatt's Field Park (2 min walk)
🌳 Ruskin Park (20 min walk)
🏥 King’s College Hospital (10 min walk)
🚆 Loughborough Junction station (10 min walk), which has (air-conditioned!) direct Thameslink trains to Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and St Pancras
🚆 Denmark Hill station (15 min walk), with direct National Rail and Overground trains to Victoria, Canada Water, Shoreditch, Dalston, Clapham Junction and the Kent countryside
🚇 Oval station (17 min walk) for Northern line access
🚇 Brixton station (20 min walk) for Victoria line and National Rail access
🚍 Plenty of buses around 5 minutes' walk away, with direct services to Brixton, Elephant & Castle, London Bridge, Shoreditch, Victoria, Vauxhall, Oval, Peckham and Clapham
ABOUT ME
👦 I’m Ollie, I’m 30 years old and I love walking, film, languages, theatre, opera and classical music. I play the cello and the piano (but not during unsociable hours, I promise!).
🏳️🌈 I'm gay and I have a boyfriend who stays over a couple of times per week. No requirement for my flatmate to also be queer, but of course always nice to meet more queer people!
🏢 I work on climate change strategy for the Civil Service. My office is in Westminster, but I work from home around three days per week.
🥗 I'm vegetarian and have a preference for food in the house to be largely vegetarian, but open to discussion about that!
😀 I’ve got a fairly busy life outside of work and I’m out and about most evenings, but up for the odd drink/dinner together when I’m around the flat 😊
COSTS
Rent is £900 per month + approximately £180 of monthly bills per person, which include Community Fibre high-speed WiFi, water, gas, electricity, council tax and a TV licence.
LENGTH OF STAY
Ideally looking for someone who'd be happy to stay for around six months, although I'm open to shorter depending on what you're looking for.
If you’re interested, please drop me a message with a bit about yourself, how long you’d want to stay for and when you'd like to move in, and we can arrange a viewing from there 😊
