Friendly Housemate Wanted - Camberwell

We're looking for a friendly new housemate to join our home in Camberwell. Two of us have lived here for more than eight years, so it's a well-loved, settled flat that feels much more like a home than a typical house share. Our former flatmate has moved back home to Portugal.

About the Room:

The room is cosy and comfortable, with a double bed and wardrobe space.

Rent: £800 per month
Bills (including council tax): approximately £115 per month

About the Flat:

The flat is spread over two floors, with plenty of shared space to enjoy.

Downstairs you'll find three bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Upstairs there is another bedroom, a second smaller shared bathroom, a utility cupboard, and a large open-plan kitchen and living area.

The kitchen and living space is the heart of the flat. It gets lots of natural light and is fully equipped with a gas cooker and plenty of useful appliances, including an air fryer, blender and more. For anyone who occasionally works from home, there's also a desk with a monitor and laptop dock available to use.

Off the living room is a small balcony that gets great sunshine in the summer and comes complete with a BBQ for relaxed evenings and weekend get-togethers.

About Us:

We're three professionals working in healthcare, higher education and finance. We've lived together for many years, with two of us calling the flat home for over eight years. The household is international, with housemates originally from the UK, Ireland and India and we enjoy sharing a friendly, relaxed and welcoming home.

We're a friendly, easy-going household that enjoys spending time together when schedules allow. That might mean watching a film with a takeaway, trying a local restaurant, or catching up over a drink. Equally, everyone has their own lives and space, so there's no pressure to be involved all the time.

Between us we enjoy the gym, hiking, travel, gaming, cinema and cooking. During the week we're usually out at work, so the flat is often quiet during the day.

About the Area

We love living in Camberwell. The flat is just off Camberwell Green and within a five-minute walk of Morrisons, Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury's and Lidl.

The area is well connected, with numerous bus routes nearby and easy access to Elephant & Castle and Oval (Northern line), Vauxhall (Victoria line), and Denmark Hill Overground.

There are also plenty of excellent restaurants, pubs and cafés within walking distance, along with several gyms and a swimming pool.
