En-suite room in Canada Water – looking for a long-term flatmate
We’re looking for a friendly, responsible and considerate flatmate to join us in our home in Canada Water.
The room is a spacious en-suite, so you’ll have your own private bathroom. The flat is on the 13th floor, with great views, and has a large shared living room and kitchen, balcony, plenty of storage, plus a small third room.
The building is less than 2 minutes’ walk from Canada Water station (Jubilee line & London Overground) and has some great amenities included for residents: gym, tennis/multi-purpose court, 24-hour concierge, cycle storage, rooftop landscaped garden, and a lounge/co-working area.
Rent: expected to be around £1,250 per month (TBC)
Bills: approx. £200 per month, including council tax, fibre broadband, electricity, water and heating. Final rent is currently being confirmed with the landlord/agency and will be updated before the new tenancy is agreed.
A little about the household
We’re looking for someone who wants to make the flat feel like a home rather than simply renting a room. We’re friendly and enjoy spending time together from time to time, while also respecting each other’s space and independence.
The most important thing for us is finding someone clean, tidy, considerate and reliable. We take good care of the flat and have a few simple house rules around shared spaces and cleaning, so we’re looking for someone who naturally has a similar approach.
We’d ideally like someone who is settled in London, professionally established and looking for a long-term home, rather than somewhere temporary. We’re hoping to find someone who can commit for the remainder of our tenancy (around 2 years).
We both have regular working routines and would ideally suit someone who works mainly from the office rather than full-time from home.
Non-smokers only.
Most importantly, we’d like someone easy-going, mature and communicative who is happy to contribute to a friendly household and deal with the practical side of living together responsibly.
Referencing
The new tenant will need to pass the landlord/agency’s referencing requirements, including income and previous-landlord/credit checks, and provide Right to Rent documentation.
* Referencing criteria & deposit information:
To pass our referencing a tenant must earn 3 times their annual rent share and not be in a probationary period or have a zero hour contract. Have a satisfactory previous landlord reference and no adverse credit e. g. CCJ, bankruptcy. If you require a guarantor, they must earn 2.5 times the annual rent share and be a UK homeowner.
+Right to rent provided
If you’re interested, send us a message telling us a little about yourself — your age, what you do for work, your usual work-from-home/office routine, how long you’ve been in London, what you like doing outside work, and what you’re looking for in a flatshare.
We’d love to hear from you and hopefully find someone who feels like a great fit for the home.
