This room is located in a spacious flat with a balcony.
Travel:
10-15 minutes walk from Canada Water
Underground station,
5 minutes away from Surrey Quays overground station, and
2 minutes away from the 381 and C10 buses which go directly to London Bridge (20 mins bus ride there).
Also 5 minutes away from uber boat/ferry stations.
About the flat and the room:
The room is ensuite, with a shower and toilet, as per the pictures.
The room has a double bed, it is furnished, with a large window and an in-built wardrobe.
The wardrobe is spacious, my previous flatmates didn't need additional storage space for their clothes, etc.
Also, in the bed frame, there is storage space under the bed for shoes and other things. The room also comes with a chest of drawers (see pictures) which is quite tall.
The floors are carpet.
In the pictures, the chest of drawers and bedside table will remain, the rest (e. g., desk) is my flatmate’s.
The flat is quite new, it is located on the second floor (the building has a lift). The living room/ kitchen is open/space, very spacious. It has very large windows. I also have a fish tank and some plants.
The area is very quiet, the flat is 1 minute away from riverside, hence the proximity to the ferry station.
In regards to neighbours, they’re nice but they definitely appreciate peace and quiet in the evening. We have a building groupchat as well for announcements etc.
The area:
There’s the docks area around which is very nice.
There is a Nisa local a few minutes away, and a Tesco Extra 8 minute walk.
There is a gym 12 minutes walk away. The nearest cafe is 3 minutes walk away, not sure if that's the only one in this proximity.
There is also a barber shop across the flat.
About me (potential flatmate)
I am a friendly person, l like to socialise but I appreciate my own space too. I am quiet around the flat, don't make too much noise around. As I work 9-5, I don't sleep too late. I mostly work from home, I have my desk in the living room (See pictures). I go to the office 1-2 days/week some weeks, it depends on the week.
I am clean person and I really appreciate that I keep my and shared spaces clean. I've been living in this flat for 4 years now, but haven’t changed it much since moving in.
I like to spend my time quite casually during the week, either just cooking and relaxing after work, gym, going out for a movie, meeting friends. During weekends I am usually more active. I have various hobbies so depends what I’m feeling for lol
Ideally, I'd really like to live with someone friendly, with not much of a hectic lifestyle as mine is also not hectic. Extra points if you like plants, the flat could use some more.
It would be nice to do some activities together that we bond over (if there are any shared interests ofc :) ) but that’s not necessarily a requirement for me.
NOTE: Historically the rent has been paid once every 6 months at once (that’s how I managed to secure the flat tbf) but given the new laws I don’t think that will be the case anymore.
Please let me know if I’ve missed anything or any other questions you might have about me or the flat :)
