Small Double Room in pretty Victorian house

Double room in a small Victorian house on a sleepy residential street bordering Catford and Forest Hill, about 15 minutes walk from Catford and Catford Bridge Stations.

I’m looking for a lodger to share the house with, along with my friendly cat, Molly. It’s a small but cosy two bedroom house with lots of charm, a very peaceful environment.

THE HOUSE:
The house has a garden (work in progress!) and has recently been renovated to a high standard. There is also a cleaner included in the cost, who visits biweekly.
There is free parking outside and a bike hoop in the front garden where I store my bike with no issues.

The ground floor is open plan, with the kitchen leading out onto the garden via the french doors.

THE ROOM:
It’s not the largest room, but comfortably fits the double bed bed with enough space for storage furniture and a desk or to lay out a yoga mat.

The room comes mostly furnished, with a double bed, a chest of drawers and a clothes rail. Probably wouldn't suit someone with lots of furniture!

It’s lovely and sunny in the evenings with two windows that are west facing.

THE AREA:
The area is very residential, but there is a Tesco express about 90 seconds walk away, plus two excellent pubs within 8 minutes walk (the Blythe Hill Tavern and the Perry Hill Pub).
A large Sainsburys and Aldi are around ten minutes walk away.

The train stations (Catford and Catford Bridge) are both about 15 minutes walk away and have a regular service to Ladywell, Lewisham, London Bridge, Waterloo, Charing Cross, or else to Nunhead, Peckham, Denmark Hill, etc til Farringdon.

Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park are both 25 minutes walk away (or a very quick cycle), where you can get onto the Windrush line.

It feels like a very safe street and the neighbours are all very friendly.

CURRENT HOUSEMATE:
I’m easy going and friendly, with an interest in design having spent years working in interior design for an architectural practice. I’m now a civil servant and am based in the office 3 to 4 days a week, with one or two days from home.
I don't eat much meat and try to recycle as much as possible.
I enjoy socialising so I’m out a fair bit, particularly on the weekends. Interests include gardening, day trips out of London, country walks (or any walks), seeing friends in the pub, going to galleries or gigs, yoga, reading...

I am looking for someone kind, friendly, calm, clean and respectful who I can hang out with when home and share a meal or a film.
Would suit someone who isn’t looking for a party house but a safe relaxed space to call home!
Must be okay with cats (sorry allergy sufferers!).

COSTS:
£890 including bills and the cleaner
