ABOUT ME
My family and I moved to the UK eight years ago for work: my Aussie wife is a UX designer, and I came over with Amazon. My wife and children returned to Australia last year for the kids to start secondary school, and I'm now back and forth between London and Canberra, so I'm looking for a responsible, trustworthy flatmate.
I'm 48-years old and originally from Hong Kong. We moved to the UK from Japan, and I've also lived in Thailand and the US (where I went to university). I currently run two sustainable food start-ups, and I've previously worked in tech, media, and finance.
My work hours are fairly long while I'm in London, but I try to keep some level of balance in my life and enjoy filling my spare time with:
- Travel (especially last-minute Eurostar trips)
- Cooking (years of experience as personal chef to three demanding clients)
- Sports (mostly Pilates, boxing, and swimming)
- Comedy (only as a spectator since my kids assure me that I'm not remotely funny)
- Audiobooks (my last Amazon role was at Audible, so I have a fantastic 500-book library)
ABOUT YOU
I'm looking for someone who views the flat very much as their own home - both in terms of being happy and comfortable here as well as being a responsible resident. I'd like to live with someone with whom I get along and can share a morning pot of coffee, end-of-day chat, and occasional meal; but who will be as respectful of my space and privacy needs as I will be of theirs.
WHAT NEXT?
Please send me a quick note with a bit of information about yourself (no pressure to write as much as I did!). I'll get back to you to arrange a time to come view the flat and ask me any questions you might have.
PS: I will be away from the UK for most of April, so either my current flatmate or one of my friends will manage viewings.
