One of our lovely housemates is leaving and we're looking for an ideal person to replace them in our happy home in Lower Clapton from the 4th April!
THE FLAT
Spacious double room on the second floor of our large two-floor flat right in the middle of Lower Clapton. Room will be unfurnished.
The flat has 5 other bedrooms, a spacious living/dining room, 3 bathrooms (3 toilets + 1 shower + 1 bath) a good size kitchen, and high ceilings throughout. There's some communal storage space under the stairs. There's a small garden we share with other tenants in the property and if you're bringing a bike with you there's space for that too!
THE LOCATION
The house is perfectly located on Lower Clapton Road, a 10-minute walk from either Hackney Central or Clapton Overground stations. The 38, 55, 106 buses pick up from directly outside of the house, perfect if you work in central.
We're close to a bunch of really great restaurants, cafes and pubs - including one of the best Vietnamese in the city. There’s an organic shop a stone’s throw away, plus Tesco Metro, Turkish supermarket, Casey’s Bakery and Palm Two. Chatsworth Road is a few minutes away and of course Hackney Central for everything else you need is just 10 minutes. Hackney Downs park is a 2 minute walk and the marshes/River Lea around 15 minutes.
YOUR FLATMATES

There’s a mixture of working from home/working from studios/office etc. When we’re not out and about we hang out and catch up in the communal areas - mostly eating, drinking and watching tv. We all get on really well and work hard to ensure the space is a nice home for ourselves and each other; we all contribute to cleaning through the week and respect each other's privacy / need for peace so keep loud noise to a minimum.
We’re looking for someone chilled, clean/tidy and sociable who is happy to contribute to the homely vibe of the house. We are all creative, love films, books and music as well as the occasional trip to the pub or park in summer. This is not a party house but guests are welcome
Despite the size and number of us, the house is pretty quiet and there are times you'll likely have the living room to yourself. It's the perfect balance. We're looking to try and keep a mix of girls/guys.
THE NUMBERS
- Rent is £977.46 pcm (inclusive of electricity, council tax, internet, plus toilet paper and cleaning products)
- Gas and water bills are split and paid quarterly (depending on usage but yearly average is £10pcm each).
- Deposit is 6 weeks rent (£1,211.53 - SpareRoom won't let me add it!)
- Move in date 4th April
