Double room in lovely bright flat in Clapton

Hello! We are looking for looking for a lovely person to take over my double room and be an overall great flatmate for Allana and Sophie in our gorgeous 3-bed flat in Clapton!

We are proud of making the flat feel like a real home, and enjoy spending cosy evenings together or the odd drink at the pub, but also all do our own thing a lot of the time. We’re looking for someone who equally wants to have a relaxing, chilled and sociable home - definitely not a party house but love the odd dinner party or wine night and always very relaxed about having friends over!

Everyone takes equal responsibility for keeping the house clean and tidy, and we have a cleaner once a month to help take the edge off for the shared spaces (hoovering these stairs is not for the weak!)

Allana is a psychologist and is in the office 5 days a week, and Sophie works in sales and works from home a couple of days a week - we’re looking for someone who has a similar Monday-Friday 9-5 style job and doesn’t work from home every day. There would be space in the room for a desk if you need it, but there’s also space at the dining table.

The flat is bright and spacious, and is on the top 2 floors of a converted terrace house, so has beautiful views over the rooftops from the open plan kitchen and living room which is on the top floor. This room gets lovely sunlight both morning and evening, and a perfect view of the sunset most of the year! Currently lacking in plants so v open to someone green-fingered!

The kitchen has lots of counter space and storage - it includes dishwasher, microwave, fan oven, gas stove, full fridge and freezer, and washer/dryer.

There is one shared full bathroom with bath/shower - one of the other rooms has its own shower and sink so the shower is shared between 2, and the toilet between all 3.

The room has a huge fitted wardrobe with plenty of storage, and always feels light and airy with NW facing window, so has lovely sunlight in the evenings. The room will be unfurnished as I’ll be taking the bed with me.

The flat is a 7 min walk from either Clapton or Rectory Road station on the Weaver line. We’re equidistant between Lower Clapton/ Hackney Central and Stoke Newington, so there are lots of great pubs and lovely brunch spots around. We’re also around 15 mins from Clissold Park, Hackney marshes and the canal, and 10 mins from Hackney Downs, so lots of walks and lovely green spaces around!

Looking for someone who wants to stay long-term and really settle into the home!

We have a £300 additional deposit for all the shared furniture in the flat, which each flatmate pays and then passes on to future tenants when they move out. This includes the sofa, TV, coffee table, TV cabinet, storage racks, dining table and chairs.

Bills come to around £150 each per month which are separate to the rent (including water, WiFi, gas, electricity, TV license, cleaner, council tax, home insurance)
