The room for rent

Hi☺,

I have a bright, good-sized double room – with its own bathroom and views of the River Lea and Walthamstow Marshes – for rent in a lovely two-bedroom flat in a new-build in Clapton. Available from May 2nd.

The room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows, is £935, including some bills. Electricity (currently £32pp) and council tax (£86pp) are not included.

You would be sharing the flat with one other person (me☺). The room is furnished and comes with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers + plus a small desk if you want it. The room also has its own spacious bathroom, which you would be the only one to use.

The flat has a large balcony, an airy and spacious living room and a modern open-plan kitchen. There is also a parking space that you’re welcome to use.

The flat is a 10-minute walk from Clapton overground station, where trains take you to Liverpool Street in 12 minutes. Hackney Central and Dalston Junction are a 15-minute bus ride away. Lea Bridge Station, which is one stop from Stratford, is a 15-minute walk.

Buses from Lea Bridge Road (a three-minute walk) include 55, 56 and N38, going to locations like Dalston Junction, Hackney Central, Walthamstow, Piccadilly Circus and Victoria.

Clapton is a great part of Hackney, with lots of charming cafés, restaurants, pubs and independent shops.

About me: I’m a journalist and editor in my early 40s, working three days a week from the office and two days from home.

When I’m not working, I love reading, listening to podcasts, travelling, doing yoga and working out. I’m a coffee addict and also love going to exhibitions, watching films and meeting friends for food and glass of wine☺.
