A beautiful and unusually large double bedroom available in a three bedroom period flat, right in the heart of Covent Garden.
The room is very spacious for central London, with lovely original period features including high ceilings, cornicing, a large fireplace and mantel, and two huge windows overlooking Covent Garden.
The room comes fully furnished, including:
High quality double bed with plenty of under bed storage
Extra-long clothes rail with lots of hanging space
Chest of drawers
Additional shelving/storage unit
Full-length mirror
Small ladder
Floor lamp
Laundry basket
The flat:
The flat is on the second floor of a secure building with 24-hour security and is shared with two friendly female flatmates.
There is a comfortable, fully furnished communal living room and kitchen and a bathroom with both a bath and shower. The kitchen is already well equipped with shared pots and pans, plates, cutlery and other essentials, so there is very little you would need to buy when moving in.
The two existing flatmates are lovely, friendly and respectful, but also quite independent. Everyone has their own lives and works different hours, so it is a relaxed household rather than a flat where there is an expectation to socialise together all the time.
We are looking for someone similar: clean, considerate and respectful, and ideally someone who does not work from home full time.
Location:
The location is probably one of the best things about the flat. It is genuinely in the heart of Covent Garden, with almost everything in central London within walking distance.
Covent Garden Underground is less than a 2 minute walk away, and Leicester Square station is around 4 minutes away. The Strand, Soho, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery are all just a few minutes' walk, with Oxford Circus, St James's Park, Green Park and much of the West End also easily walkable.
There are endless restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops on the doorstep, as well as nearby supermarkets including M&S and Tesco. You have everything from small independent shops and coffee shops to some of London's best restaurants and luxury stores within minutes of the front door.
It's an amazing location if you work in central London and want to be able to walk almost everywhere.
Rent & bills:
Rent: £1,208.55 per month
Fixed bills are £97.30 per month, plus gas, which varies depending on usage but is usually around £30–£50 per month.

Tenancy:
I’m moving out at the end of September and looking for someone to take my place on the existing tenancy with the other two tenants. It’s a rolling tenancy with no end date.
The building is owned by The Mercers’ Company and managed by Knight Frank. The Mercers own a large amount of property in Covent Garden and tend to hold onto their buildings long term, so the flat is very unlikely to be sold by a private landlord.
Knight Frank are also really responsive, we’ve never had any issues with the management, and whenever something has needed fixing, it’s always been sorted very quickly.
It's a really special room, particularly for the price and location, and I have loved living here for the past 5 years.
Available from the end of September, looking to find someone from the 18th of September.
