One of the nicest things about this room is its layout: it sits directly adjacent to the bathroom with no shared walls with the other bedrooms, giving you real privacy and quiet. The bathroom side of the flat adjoins a doctor's surgery, so late-night noise is essentially non-existent. Double-glazed windows take care of the rest.
The flat occupies the entire ground floor of a handsome period conversion — high ceilings, neutral décor, and generous natural light throughout. It feels more like a house than a flat. The fully fitted modern kitchen has everything you could need: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric hob and oven, plus all crockery, cutlery and cookware are communal, so there is no need to bring a thing. There are two bathrooms; the new tenant shares one with just one other person. Two of us are already here — both working professionals. The flat is calm, clean and tidy. We are friendly and happy to chat, but we are independent people who value each other's space. This is not a party flat, but it is not silent either. We host the occasional summer barbecue in the garden, guests are welcome, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. We just ask that everyone is considerate about noise and late nights. One of us is a health and fitness coach who travels regularly, so for stretches of the year it will just be two people in a three-bedroom flat — plenty of room to breathe.
Cricklewood is one of the best-connected spots in north-west London. Willesden Green tube (Jubilee line, with quick links to the Metropolitan line) is a 7-minute walk, or a 3 to 4 minute bus ride from the stop right outside the front door. Cricklewood train station (6 minutes on foot) runs direct services into King's Cross and out towards St Albans, with easy onward connections to Luton and Stansted airports. Buses connect to Brent Cross, Paddington, Finchley and beyond. Locally you will find a good range of restaurants, takeaways, pubs and supermarkets. Gladstone Park is a short walk for a morning run or an afternoon in the sun, and the Brent Reservoir is within easy reach for a longer escape.
Rent is £1,100 per calendar month with all bills included — electricity, gas, water, council tax and 1 Gb/s broadband. Deposit is two weeks' rent. One month's rent in advance. Available from 19 May. Minimum stay 3 months. One month's notice required.
We are looking for working professionals or postgraduate students. Singles only, no couples. We would love someone mature, independent, clean and considerate — whether that is a younger person with a settled mindset or someone more established.
