Hi there

We are two women in our 20s working full time. Our housemate is moving in with her partner in October and so we are looking to find someone to join us in our corner of Crouch End.

We would love to find someone who is friendly, tidy, and easy to get along with as this is a chilled and creative flat. (: We both work full time, so we are looking for someone with a similar lifestyle. Our flat feels like home and we would love for you to feel the same way, this means we would also prefer someone who is not thinking of moving out in the short term.

About us

Robyn & Ena

We are both climbers and go to a local wall about a 15 min bike ride away. We are both working in creative fields; Ena is working in Graphic Design and Robyn works at the local climbing gym and as a freelance audio editor, whilst progressing into photography
In our spare time we are often climbing indoors or on outdoor trips, reading & writing, exploring art (currently illustration and ceramics), hitting up the two cinemas down the road (an indie one too!), cycling, gallery trips, or finding treasure at our local charity shops in Crouch End and Muswell Hill. Ena has recently joined the flat so there’s a lot to explore together. (:

About the room

The room comes with a double bed and mattress, a wardrobe, bedside drawer and a large drawer. (The desk/chair in one of the photos is no longer there). There are also some lovely shelves built into the wall for plants, books or anything you collect. The room has a skylight with a blind, where you can see bright blue skies or starry nights on a good day. We have some extra storage in a cupboard in the flat, and there is lots of space under the bed too.

As for the rest of the flat, this is a lovely, bright top floor flat with all kitchen/cleaning appliances you would expect included. Please note there's no living room, however this has always been a sociable house and we're always happy to hang out in the bedrooms which have sofas or head to local cafes and cinemas, or the parks nearby in summer. We have also made use of our tiny rooftop space which acts as a sun-trap in summer. Currently we have a herb garden growing there and it’s been a good space for sunbathing, reading and morning coffees. It’s surrounded by trees with Ally Pally just in the distance.

About the area

If you’re a North Londoner, you already know the location is one of the perks of this house.

Hornsey train station (zone 3) is literally less than 5 minutes away and trains run frequently until late night. You can easily get to central London in 20 min approximately, via Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington just to name a few. Besides, Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line) is a 12 min walk / 5 min bus ride if you´re feeling lazy and there are plenty of bus connections too.

Aside of transport links, Crouch End/Hornsey is a really lovely area to live in! Everything you need is walking distance from the house - cafes, restaurants, independent shops, supermarkets (huge Sainsbury's 5 min away!), cinemas, gyms... all is in the area!
On top of this, we're right next to the lovely Alexandra Palace (festivals and gigs throughout the year) and Muswell Hill for the most gorgeous views of London, Wood Green for shopping and cheap cinema tickets, etc.
By foot, Sainsbury's & Argos is a 5 minutes away, Lidl is 15, and there is a 24 hr Asda, Waitrose etc in Crouch End up the road.

Boring bits

Rent is £575 and paid monthly. Bills are not included and might change based on consumption, but just so you have an idea they come roughly around £110/115.

Deposit is one month rent and we liaise with the landlord directly. There is a referencing process with an agency (they only get involved at the contracting stage).

We’d like to find someone who is planning to rent long-term ideally.
