Large, bright double room available for short-term let.

My housemate is away working for June so her room is available for short-term let. Room is available from Friday 5June until Saturday 4th July only

Ideal for someone in need of a ‘base camp’ in London while they look for something permanent (I know how stressful flat hunting can be!)

*Room & House*
The room comes with a double bed and furnishings. Some of current housemate’s belongings will still be stored in the room but there’ll be storage space made available and space for a clothes rail etc. Bay windows so plenty of natural light.
There's a large shared living room and a sizeable kitchen fully-stocked with all the essentials - washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob... There’s a pleasant small rear garden, we're mid-terrace so it's pretty peaceful. There’s also a friendly cat called Sidney.
Rent is 175/week , all inclusive (inc broadband, Netflix, Prime TV). A deposit of £500 and one week’s rent in advance is required to move in (so £675 total). Can either pay ongoing rent weekly or in lump sums. Deposit will be returned at the end of the lease assuming there has been no issues. Because of short term benefits aren’t accepted, sorry.

*Accessibility*
The house is on 4 levels so there are stairs up to the bedroom and down to the kitchen. Parking is available on the street with vouchers; any long term parking will need a permit from the council.

*Area*
House is mid-terrace, situated just off Kingsland Road. It’s a quiet street but all the hedonistic delights of Dalston - shops, bars, restaurants and the fab Rio Cinema… are minutes away. There’s a pleasant little green at the other end of the street and nice parks within walking distance. Quick and easy transport links into central London – Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction Overground stations are both a 10 min walk and buses into London run throughout the day from the bottom of the street. Great connections for Liverpool St, Kings X, Euston…

*Housemates and Occupants*
You'd be living with me and another housemate, each with our own rooms
I'm 55 (he/him), work various jobs but mostly work in comedy as a PA.
Other housemate is 40 (he/him). Works bar work

We’re both pretty chill and respectful of our home being both a work space and a sanctuary.

Then there’s Sidney (cat/cat) who’s approx 14, very friendly and fond of belly rubs. He spends most of his days sleeping but will hassle you loudly for kibbles.

Ideal new housemate would be a young professional, although we are open and flexible. Singles only really considered - three people sharing is about the maximum for the house comfort-wise (we've had more and it doesn't work, sorry) but happy for friends to stay occasionally. LGBT+ friendly. Cat lovers especially welcome. So if you’re looking for a friendly, warm, welcoming house full of plants, cats and laughter, are happy to chat and be social or retire to separate rooms when you need your own space, then get in touch.
