I am genuinely so sad to be leaving this place, but my room in our lovely Dalston home will be available from early–mid October.

💰 Rent: £1,300 per month
💡 Bills: Around £150 per month, depending on usage
🔑 Deposit: £1,500, payable to me when you move in

The house 🏡

Honestly, this is probably the most relaxed place I’ve ever lived. It actually feels like a home, rather than one of those London houseshares where everyone mysteriously disappears into their bedroom and communicates exclusively through passive-aggressive WhatsApp messages about the bins.

My housemate is amazing — super chilled, friendly, easy to get on with and just generally a lovely human being. The neighbours are also really nice and there’s a proper little community feel around the place.

It’s pet friendly too — although my housemate is currently more upset about me moving out because it means I’m taking my puppy with me. 😂🐶 So bringing a four-legged replacement may actually improve your application.

The location 📍

We are literally just off Dalston High Street, so the location is ridiculously convenient.

You’ve got the Mildmay Line and Windrush Line within easy reach, loads of buses going basically everywhere, plus Lime and Forest bikes all over the place.

Dalston itself has pretty much everything on the doorstep — pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, shops, supermarkets.

Money 💸

Rent and bills are paid to the other housemate/lead tenant each month.

The £1,500 deposit would be paid to me upon move-in.

I’m ideally looking for someone who’ll appreciate the house for what it is: relaxed, friendly, welcoming and drama-free. Male or female, LGBT+ friendly obviously, and someone who’s happy living somewhere that genuinely feels like home.

I’m only leaving because I’m moving elsewhere — not because there’s anything wrong with the house or the people in it. Quite the opposite. I’m actually really sad to go.
