I’m looking for a new flatmate as my current flatmate of five years is moving on.

The flat is brilliantly located in the heart of Dalston, just 3 minutes from Dalston Kingsland and 6 minutes from Dalston Junction. Old Street is only about 10 minutes away by bike.

The room

A comfortable furnished double bedroom at the quieter rear of the building, overlooking the development and car park rather than the busy streets of Dalston.

The room comes with a bed, chest of drawers and plenty of built-in storage, including a huge wardrobe.

The flat

There’s a shared kitchen and bathroom, along with a small utility room used for drying laundry. There isn’t a separate living room, so the flat would probably suit someone who works away from home for most of the week rather than someone working from home full-time.

The building has a bike shed, a residents’ gym (a little retro, but useful for yoga or stretching!) and genuinely lovely neighbours.

I’ve lived here for ten years and have a great relationship with the landlady, so it’s a well-established and stable home.

The location

You’re spoilt for choice in Dalston, with great transport links, restaurants, cafés, pubs and everything else on your doorstep. There’s a large Sainsbury’s, Aldi and M&S all within five minutes’ walk.

About me

I’m a 41-year-old gay guy, working full-time, and have a cat who also calls the flat home.

I’ve really enjoyed sharing with my current flatmate for the past five years and would love to find someone equally easy to live with.

Ideally looking for another guy who’s friendly, considerate, reasonably tidy and enjoys a relaxed home environment. Someone who’s sociable and happy to have a chat, but also appreciates their own independence and space.
