hiiii yall, I’m looking for a new flatmate !! my current flatmate is buying her own place, so she's moving south of the river soon ;-( I think I've covered all the key details below, but just message me if you have any questions and to arrange a viewing x
THE FLAT
small but cute af! it's in a council block right in the heart of Dalston (but tucked away from the main street, so actually pretty quiet & we're on the fourth floor, so you feel quite far removed from all the chaos). you get the odd bit of city noise at weekends, but nothing crazy.
the pics are pretty self-explanatory, but we've got a living room, a kitchen connected to the living room via the cutest little window, a big entrance hall (there might be space for a lil desk or something), a bathroom with a shower (good water pressure!), a separate toilet, a little storage room with the washing machine (where you can also store suitcases and other bits), and two bedrooms.
the floors are original wood and so gorg. the flat comes furnished, but my current flatmate will be taking quite a few things with her (including all the beautiful plants), so if you've got any furniture, art, plants or other bits to make the space feel cosy, even better!
THE ROOM
i haven't included pics because my flatmate is in the middle of packing and it's currently a mess, but it's the bigger of the two bedrooms, has big windows and fits a double bed, wardrobe, and additional clothes rail/desk/bookshelf. it comes furnished with a bed frame and mattress only, so you'll need to bring the rest!
ME
i'm 29, queer, work in advertising and i'm fully remote (i try to work from cafes a few days a week during summer, but in winter not so much cause cba). i'm very chill and easy to get along with, always down for chats and wine, but equally love my downtime. like a party (outside of the flat) every once in a while, and like hosting the occasional dinner (cooking isn’t my forte) / drinks with friends. otherwise my usual week is usually: cinema, hang outs with friends, exhibitions, bars. very clean and tidy. social so I'm often out and about doing things whenever i can. silly vibes but also down for deep chats!
NEW FLATMATE
looking for someone on the same wavelength! it'll only be the two of us, so ideally not someone who's a massive introvert and spends 24/7 in their room, but equally I'm not expecting us to do everything together lol. just looking for cute, friendly vibes at home! ideally someone who doesn't work fully remotely too, although my job is super flexible so it's not like i'm glued to the table 9-5. my current flatmate works from home around two days a week and we've never had any issues sharing the space. if you've got your own circle, are a bit silly, and are queer/woman, we'll probably get along!

the landlord has just raised the rent for the first time in four years. tbh he's lovely and really appreciates how well we look after the flat, so I'm hoping he won't raise it again anytime soon. he’s also very good with maintenance and repairs when needed !
