A ‘with-it’ and friendly older lady with slow mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, laundry, carrying things, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. She has a friendly small dog. Nb She is a ‘light’ smoker – max 5 a day, and only smokes in her bedroom with the window open, so it isn’t a smokey environment.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom, furnished with a double bed, desk, wardrobe and shelves. The shower room is shared with the homeowner. There is also shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and small patio garden.

The property is conveniently located just 4 minutes’ walk from Dalston overground station (Windrush line) with several local bus routes too, and lots of local shops; it is a diverse and vibrant community.

The lady enjoys going to art classes, taking her dog for walks and to local cafes. She also enjoys listening to audio books. She has a weekly cleaner, and family members living next door. She enjoys a variety of food including spicy, Chinese and Asian. She would enjoy someone cooking for her a few times a week; if someone isn’t that confident in the kitchen, she is happy to help teach them. She isn’t a vegetarian, although her diet is predominantly vegetables.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable.
